Interest group Clean Air Netherlands is set to publish a list of cafes and restaurants where smoking persists despite regulations.
The Blacklist
The list appears on cleanairnederland.nl, the group's website. Visitors can submit reports on venues still allowing smoking.
Director Willem van den Oetelaar aims to raise awareness about non-compliant establishments, supporting the Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) in enforcing the smoking ban.
The NVWA recently reported smoking in over half of bars and discos, violating the ban. A 2020 exception applies only to small cafes under 70 square meters with no staff, serving solely alcoholic drinks.
Check it out at www.cleanairnederland.nl.
