Smoking rates in the Netherlands have fallen significantly by 2011, with just a quarter of the population aged 15 and over lighting up.
Five years prior, 28.6% of Dutch adults over 15 smoked. By the second quarter of 2011, that number had declined to 24.3%, according to reliable health surveys.
