77% of Dutch People Miss Recommended Daily Fruit Intake, Survey Reveals

Despite growing awareness, 77% of Dutch adults fail to consume the recommended two pieces of fruit daily. This insight comes from a recent survey by Peil.nl and Hero Fruit2day on Dutch perceptions of fruit.

The top reason 63% of respondents eat fruit? It's healthy and packed with essential nutrients. That's up significantly from 42% in a similar 2005 survey.

Meanwhile, 65% enjoy fruit simply because they like the taste – a doubling since 2005. These trends highlight how the Dutch have grown more conscious of fruit's health benefits over the years.
