Government Launches Swine Flu Awareness Campaign with TV, Radio, and Newspaper Ads

The government is launching a nationwide swine flu awareness campaign—also known as Mexican flu—to provide citizens with vital information.

General practitioners (GPs) and government health authorities are receiving a high volume of inquiries about swine flu. To boost public education, a multimedia campaign featuring television and radio spots will launch next Monday, alongside advertisements in national newspapers.

This month, Postbus 51 is available for questions—a service that's seen surging demand: last week, it handled around 200 questions daily, with a peak of 2,500 on Monday.
