A healthy nation: Eight out of ten Dutch people describe their health as good or very good, according to recent Statistics Netherlands (CBS) data.
The vast majority of Dutch people feel healthy. However, 4% report their health as poor or very poor.
Men report better health than women: 82% of men rate their health as good or very good, compared to 78% of women. CBS experts attribute this to women living longer on average and experiencing more chronic conditions, which often lead to poorer self-reported health.

Other key findings: People with back problems frequently report poorer health, as do older adults compared to younger ones.
