Empowering Portraits: Stichting Borstbeeld Exhibition Celebrates Breast Reconstruction Survivors

Today, the Stichting Borstbeeld exhibition graces Amsterdam's Museum Square. This compelling traveling open-air display showcases photographs by twelve acclaimed Dutch photographers, capturing women who underwent breast reconstruction after battling breast cancer.

Photographers such as Cornelie Tollens, Marcel van der Vlugt, Paul Blanca, Leo Hol, and Wendelien Daan were tasked with portraying these women powerfully and intriguingly, emphasizing their enduring femininity—despite, and even enhanced by, their surgical journeys.

The original photos will be auctioned at the end of October at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, with all proceeds supporting the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Cancer Research Fund 2020.

Following Amsterdam, the exhibition heads to Rotterdam and The Hague. For more details, visit www.stichtingborstbeeld.nl.
