Laziness is one of the seven sins. We now know better:being lazy (in moderation) is even healthy. Taking time to rest, allowing yourself to be lazy and really doing nothing is essential.

Being lazy is good for your mood and after doing nothing you can feel refreshed again. Research has shown that wounds heal up to 40 percent faster during the holidays than during your working week. Another reason to take back ten teeth and let everything fall out of your hands.

Brilliant hunches

Do you get bored easily while doing nothing? Not very. When you're bored, your mind is open to all kinds of impulses and the best ideas can come to you. If you have nothing to do for a while, your thoughts can take over. Whether it is a moment of boredom or a moment of rest:doing nothing at all can lead to the most creative ideas.

Sleep enough is important

We now know from research that too little sleep can contribute to obesity. A good excuse to take an afternoon nap if you have the time. Researchers in New York found that volunteers performed better on cognitive tests immediately after the afternoon nap.
