The season premiere of Beau van Erven Dorens' talk show ended on an icy note. The host embraced the renowned Wim Hof Method by taking a full ice bath under the Iceman's expert guidance.
Guided by Wim Hof himself, Beau submerged in the freezing water for over three and a half minutes. Preparation involved targeted breathing exercises before stepping outside to the waiting bath.
Despite the intense challenge, Beau pushed through with Wim Hof's encouragement, holding out even longer than the initial 3.5-minute mark.

World-famous as 'The Iceman,' Wim Hof's method combines cold exposure, breathing techniques, and mental focus to build resilience. It triggers the release of endorphins—even in extreme cold—fostering a sense of euphoria and well-being.
“The method revolves around mindset, breathing training, and cold training,” explains Bart Eigenhuis, health motivator and cold trainer at Bridge2Cross, in the November issue of Santé. “Mindset means cultivating concentration, confidence, and conviction to achieve your goals: 'I'm going to do this.'”
Breathing involves 30-40 powerful inhales and exhales, followed by breath holds to induce deep relaxation.
Cold training might include ice baths, cold showers, or brief outdoor exposure in minimal clothing.
