Seven out of ten Dutch adults aimed to lose weight in 2020, yet 71% had no plans to give up indulgent treats like chips, soda, or wine.
Is sustainable weight loss challenging, or can occasional guilty pleasures help you stick to your goals?
One in three respondents admitted to unhealthy eating several times a week, often exceeding their intentions. Meanwhile, 71% see these pleasures as key to their happiness.

The top choice is a bag of chips in front of the TV in the evening, followed by a glass of wine with dinner and a can of soda in third place.
"You don't have to deny yourself everything to succeed with your New Year's resolutions. This survey polled 1,000 Dutch individuals aged 18-79.
