Geke s Diet Milestone: Real Progress on The Best Diet in the World

Geke is testing The Best Diet in the World for Santé. She shares exciting progress, along with a minor challenge. Read her candid blog update.

Geke: It's not just the diet—those holiday pounds melted away like snow in spring sunshine. The initial 'easy' weight drops fast when you're committed, but now the real work begins. Today's menu: muesli, toasted rye bread, wholemeal pasta with chicken, spinach, and avocado, plus pork tenderloin with a veggie medley in the evening. Sounds like a delicious day ahead.

A Hitch at Home
My husband joined me for dinners when I started The Best Diet in the World—great news, as his waistline had expanded last year. But when I offered him oatmeal topped with apple, honey, and nuts (which I love), he couldn't stomach it. The diet's appeal vanished for him.

Eating Normally
'Why not try Sonja Bakker or just eat normally?' he's suggested. Normal food is ideal, and this diet aligns with that—just watch those carb portions. The book has me starting tomorrow with an egg pancake, ham, and cheese. One more tempting try for him...

A Week Later...
Before aqua jogging, I had to update: I'm at my lightest yet in this journey. It's working well! Yesterday's meals stayed low-carb, no slip-ups. Pro tip: Hit the hay early if fridge cravings hit. Read a book, watch TV—anything but raid the kitchen.

A Few Days Later...
Yoo-hoo! Down under 90kg, even after homemade oatmeal cookies (tasty, if not perfect). Still processing it, but thrilled. Upcoming coffee dates and a three-day Hamburg trip with my sister-in-law bring temptations, but 89.8kg is mine to keep. Celebrating today!

Geke started at 93kg. Track her full results after phase 1 (four weeks) on Santé.nl or her personal waist blog.
