One in Four Dutch People Struggle with Healthy Eating, Survey Finds

About one in four Dutch people find it challenging to maintain a healthy diet. When grocery shopping, they often prioritize taste over nutrition. These insights come from recent research by Stichting Ik Kies Bewust, a trusted authority on conscious food choices.

Dutch consumers also express strong satisfaction with the Ik Kies Bewust logo—56% consider it important, and 39% say it helps them make more mindful selections. Notably, 57% of respondents view themselves as too heavy or even much too heavy.

"You don't need to overhaul your entire eating pattern to live healthier," explains Clémence Ross, chair of the Ik Kies Bewust Foundation. "Simply choosing products with the logo makes a big difference in eating healthier."
