Covidliste, a innovative app making headlines, connects eager volunteers with pharmacists, doctors, and vaccination centers to ensure no COVID-19 vaccine dose goes to waste.
Recent projections from the Institut Pasteur highlight varying scenarios for France's COVID-19 trajectory, all hinging on the success of the vaccination campaign. A swift rollout could pave the way for easing restrictions and returning to normalcy.
Vaccination sites often end the day with surplus doses. Launched just weeks ago, Covidliste prevents this waste by linking professionals with volunteers. It's now France's largest vaccination waitlist, boasting 1,161,683 registrants as of this writing.
The platform seamlessly pairs volunteers with nearby sites holding extra doses. To date, 141,099 subscribers have been contacted by 1,598 centers, leading to 11,033 confirmed appointments—and these figures climb daily. When doses are available, professionals post on Covidliste, triggering email and SMS alerts to the closest volunteers.

"I'm not a priority due to my age, but to avoid wasting a dose, I can swing by after work. No problem," shares Guillaume Jund, 32, in a France Bleu interview.
This approach maximizes every dose, benefiting both providers avoiding waste and non-priority individuals eager to get vaccinated. As a complementary tool, Covidliste accelerates herd immunity by optimizing vaccine distribution.
A true volunteer effort, Covidliste was founded by data scientist Martin Daniel, engineer Mathieu Ripert, and pneumologist Dr. Antoine Roux. Post-launch, over 100 volunteers—including developers, communicators, legal experts, and designers—joined the cause.
