I was dealing with troubled skin, poor sleep, and an early start on holiday treats like gingerbread. A detox felt like the perfect reset for my body. Who knows—it might even ease my symptoms?
I chose the 3-day Detox Juice Cure from Detox King, a proven method to deeply cleanse your body and restore its efficiency. By pausing solid foods, your system shifts focus to repairing organs, tissues, and cells. The benefits extend mentally, flushing out excess waste for renewed clarity.
"This is exactly what I need," I thought. I planned to start Tuesday, easing back to normal eating by the weekend.
For best results, ease your body into the cleanse. Detox King founder Nathalie advised cutting heavy foods like cheese, meat, alcohol, coffee, black tea, and refined sugars a few days prior to avoid headaches or nausea from the sudden shift.
Sunday proved challenging with a birthday party—I indulged in everything I should have skipped. Monday, I compensated with fruit, homemade pumpkin soup, and salad, hoping to dodge side effects.
The package arrived early: 9 unique fruit and vegetable juices, supplements, detox tea sachets, lemons, and clear instructions. Fun names like 'Crazy Carrot,' 'Happy Bunny,' and 'Monkey Fruit' added a smile.
Morning routine: supplements first, starting with wheatgrass (intense flavor!), aloe vera shot, lemon in warm water, multivitamin, and chlorella—which Nathalie explained binds heavy metals, aiding detox and immunity.
First juice, Crazy Carrot (orange, red pepper, carrot, lime), was delicious and satiating until noon. Next, Pink Splash (strawberry, beetroot, tomato, carrot)—beets aren't my favorite, so I struggled but pushed through. Green Goddess closed the day strongly. Evening clay water felt odd, coating my teeth (extra flossing!). Sleep was restless—body adjusting?
Same morning ritual, wheatgrass less shocking now. Lola juice was a highlight. By 11 a.m., hunger hit; detox tea helped, alongside frequent bathroom trips.
Happy Bunny (orange, raspberry, red pepper) went down easily despite growing hunger. A mild headache emerged—maybe from poor prep? Extra water helped little. Clean & Green (spinach, carrot, broccoli, lime) was spinach-forward but doable. A carrot slip-up while cooking family bolognese tested my resolve—solid food temptation!
Final day, headache lingered, but juices tasted great. Perfect Skin (cucumber, apple, banana, parsley) was refreshingly favorite. Hunger intensified; brown cheese sandwich fantasies loomed. Energy Boost fueled me through.
I biked to an appointment despite advice to rest—big mistake, spiking hunger. Finished Day 1's leftover beet juice (surprisingly tolerable), then Monkey Fruit (apple, banana, avocado, lemon) flew by. Evening cookie temptations with family were tough, but I held on.
I felt amazing—like my body had the reset it craved. Start solids slowly: fruit, veggies, crackers. I splurged on a brown cheese sandwich (bliss!), then eased back to normal. Proud to have completed it!
