During a candid radio interview with Coen & Sander on Radio 538, Linda de Mol disclosed that she contracted COVID-19 very early in the pandemic—without even realizing it at the time.
She suspects it happened very early on, before widespread testing was available. "I thought I had the flu, but it was very heavy," she shared.

It was so severe that she had to cancel recordings—a first for her. "I really couldn't stand on my feet. I was congested and had no smell or taste. I exhibited all the classic symptoms; I just didn't know it was COVID-19 then," she explained.
In the spring, testing revealed she had developed antibodies to the coronavirus in her blood.
