Does this research sound familiar to you?
As a cardiologist with extensive experience, Leonard Hofstra developed a comprehensive lifestyle assessment. Over 8,000 participants—predominantly women—completed the test. The results reveal that women aged 20 to 40 exhibit particularly unhealthy habits compared to other groups.
Key Findings
Women in this age group consume an average of 117 grams of vegetables and 1.2 pieces of fruit daily, falling short of the overall female average of 128 grams of vegetables and 1.25 pieces of fruit. They also exercise three minutes less per day on average, smoke more frequently, and report higher stress levels. Alarmingly, cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death for young women.
