Hay Fever Season Delayed: Experts Predict June Start After Cold Winter

This year's hay fever season is running significantly later than usual. Data from trusted sources like Leiden University Medical Center and Elkerliek Hospital in Helmond indicate it won't ramp up until June.

Current pollen counts show hardly any pollen in the air. Experts attribute this to the prolonged cold winter and the wet, chilly May, pushing the season back by more than three weeks.

Typically, hay fever sufferers notice symptoms from early May, but based on these observations, complaints are now expected to emerge in June.
