Dandelions are free, abundant, and versatile. Forage them for cooking, herbal teas, or natural skincare. As a dedicated foraging enthusiast, I create 100% wild salads, infusions, and masks from my harvests. Here's my go-to homemade dandelion detox mask.
Dandelion is a powerhouse for anti-aging skincare. Loaded with vitamins, minerals, and trace elements—particularly provitamin A—it combats free radicals to keep skin youthful and supple.
Nicknamed "lion's tooth," dandelion excels at purifying and draining the skin. Known as "piss-in-the-bed" for its diuretic effects, its name reflects its detox virtues, similar to lungwort aiding the lungs.
From my regular use, it effectively eliminates facial toxins, boosting skin radiance and clarity.
Fresh from foraging, energized by nature, I head home for my Sunday skincare ritual.
1. Gather 3 large handfuls of dandelions (leaves and flowers) and juice them. (I sneak a few vibrant yellow blooms while at it!)
2. Measure 3 tablespoons of the fresh juice into a bowl.
3. Stir in 3 tablespoons of powdered green clay using a wooden spatula for a smooth paste.
4. Add water gradually to achieve a creamy, viscous texture like a rich day cream.
5. Queue up Beirut or Devendra Banhart on my playlist.
6. Apply generously to clean face and relax in a chair for 20 minutes.
7. Rinse with warm water.
8. Admire the glow in the mirror! :-)

Nature offers treasure troves of nutrient-dense wild plants packed with vitamins, minerals, and trace elements—best not overlooked, especially since they're free!
Compared to supermarket facial products, I prefer investing in green clay and a short walk. It's stress-free, budget-friendly, and transparent: 100% additive-free.
Ultra-ventilated green clay costs under €5 for 300g (6+ months of masks) or less than €11 for 1.5kg—plenty for endless uses in beauty, health, cooking, and cleaning.
