Got a sore throat?
Fall brings a spike in colds, laryngitis, and other throat issues.
Don't let it escalate to tonsillitis or bronchitis. Like me, act at the first sign with these time-tested family remedies I've relied on for years: a potent antibacterial vinegar syrup and a soothing clay poultice.
Begin with this simple, effective vinegar syrup—passed down from my grandmothers and backed by generations of real-world use.

1. Mix ½ glass cider vinegar with ½ glass water.
2. Add 3 tablespoons thyme honey.
3. Stir in 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper.
Your homemade natural sore throat syrup is ready! :-)
At the first symptoms, take 1 tablespoon every 4 hours on day one. Then, use 1 tablespoon whenever your throat itches or burns.
Gargle with warm water and 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar. Its antiseptic, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties act like a natural antibiotic, purifying and disinfecting the throat.
1. In a bowl, mix 3 tablespoons cold water with 1 tablespoon powdered clay using a wooden spoon. Avoid metal, which can alter the clay's properties.
2. Spread the paste 2-3 cm thick on a natural fabric compress (cotton or linen). Stay away from edges and synthetics, which reduce effectiveness.
3. Lie down and apply to the throat, or secure with a bandage/scarf to stay active.
4. Replace when dry (about 2 hours).
