In most cases, a sore throat is gone within ten days, but in the meantime it can be quite annoying.

With these ingredients you can soothe a sore throat

Eating ice cream or drinking cold water will cool the throat and numb the pain. A cup of tea can also soothe your sore throat. Especially if you add honey to it. Preferably only add the honey when the tea has cooled down a bit. Take, for example, warm water with lemon juice, cinnamon and honey. Or add some ginger and honey to your cup of lemon tea. Chamomile tea also has a soothing effect.

Garlic has antibacterial properties. Add extra garlic to your food during the starting sore throat or make a garlic stock.
