Belgian sexologist and TV personality Goedele Liekens has been diagnosed with skin cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes. "The cancer cells had already entered my body and reached the glands," she shared openly.
She broke the news on Facebook: "You know, it's not in my nature to hide things. I want to tell you myself. I have skin cancer. It started a few months ago with one of those suspicious spots dermatologists warn about. The spot was removed immediately. When that wasn't enough, I underwent surgery to excise it more deeply."
"Unfortunately, it was too late: the cancer cells had spread into my body and reached the glands. From there, further metastases are a real risk," she explained. Her oncologist added, "Once a melanoma gets inside, it can make unpredictable jumps."

The Flemish star is now undergoing treatment, experiencing a mix of good and challenging days. "On good days, I feel energetic and enjoy life as if nothing's wrong, making the most of it. On bad days, the side effects leave me exhausted, nauseous, and ill."
Due to worsening symptoms, she plans to step back from work temporarily.
