If you love your kidneys, eat less salt

85 percent of the Dutch eat too much salt. Today is World Kidney Day, the Kidney Foundation seizes this day to draw attention to our salt consumption.

Risks Salt is used as a seasoning in countless products, which is why we ingest much more than necessary without noticing. Too much salt increases blood pressure and therefore the risk of kidney damage is also greater.

Low-salt cookies
To prove that food with less salt is just as tasty, the Kidney Foundation has put together a baking package for low-salt cookies. The cookies are shaped like a kidney. The proceeds of the cookies will go to the Kidney Foundation.
