On Sunday, more than 100 victims of leaking breast implants came together to pursue a joint legal claim.

The lawyers organizing the meeting contend that the Health Inspectorate has inadequately addressed complaints about leaking silicone implants, including those from the French company PIP. They intend to file a claim against the inspectorate on behalf of the women. Compensation remains elusive, however, as the implant manufacturers are bankrupt.
Ongoing Investigation
A committee led by former minister Winnie Sorgdrager is probing whether the Health Inspectorate truly fell short. This issue is set to continue unfolding.
