Three in Four Dutch Young Mothers Turn to Pharmacists for Children s Health Advice

Almost three-quarters of young mothers in the Netherlands seek advice from pharmacists on their children's ailments, according to a study by Mama.nl and VSM.

More than 2,000 young mothers with children aged 0 to 4 participated in the research. Alongside pharmacists, 54% of respondents also turn to drugstores and online resources for guidance.

Other key sources of advice:
- Mothers (of young mothers);
- General practitioners;
- Girlfriends;
- Sisters;
- Books and magazines.

Over three-quarters of respondents prefer homeopathic treatments to conventional medicines for common issues like colic and teething.
