Dentures often accumulate scale over time, and even commercial cleaners struggle to remove it effectively. Preventing plaque buildup is essential for oral health. Fortunately, my dentist shared a simple, natural solution using baking soda for thorough cleaning and disinfection.
The method is straightforward and highly effective:

- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 denture cleaner tablet
1. Fill a glass with lukewarm water.
2. Add the baking soda.
3. Add one dose of denture cleaner.
4. Mix well until dissolved.
5. Soak your dentures for at least 30 minutes.
6. Remove and rinse thoroughly with water.

Thanks to baking soda's natural abrasive and disinfecting properties, your dentures will be spotless and fresh. No more scale or buildup – they're hygienic and like new, compared to their dirty state just 30 minutes earlier.
Important note: This powerful mixture is best for permanent dentures. Avoid using it on temporary ones, as they may be less durable.
For daily maintenance, dissolve 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a glass of warm water. Soak your dentures overnight. Then, sprinkle baking soda on a damp toothbrush, gently brush, and rinse. Discover the trick here (point 29).
