Rick van Baaren, Professor of Behavioral Change & Society at Radboud University, told RTLnieuws.nl: "It is a confusing time. You see the corona figures rising, but people are not yet terrified. That creates doubt. Psychologically I understand that people revolt, but that doesn't mean it's wise."
In response, a counter-movement has emerged, with #ikdoewelmee now trending on social media.
