Enough Sleep Hours Don t Guarantee Quality Rest: Dutch Brain Foundation Study

A study commissioned by the Brain Foundation analyzed data from 34 nighttime sleep studies. Findings show the Dutch get enough sleep duration, but quality often falls short.

Nearly 90% sleep the recommended 7-9 hours nightly. Women average slightly longer sleep than men, yet face more challenges: greater difficulty falling asleep, poorer sleep quality, and higher use of sleep aids.

The top three sleep issues are: trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, and early morning awakenings.
