Many people who stutter find their speech flows more smoothly when singing. That's the inspiration behind Get The Flow, a new rap app developed to help children gain confidence and make talking easier.
In Get The Flow, kids can practice rapping and even compete against friends. Tapping into the rhythm and flow of rap often makes speech feel more natural and less challenging.
This initiative comes from trusted partners: the Dutch Federation for Stuttering (Federatie Stotteren), Vodafone, and acclaimed singer Sanne Hans. While not rooted in formal scientific studies, it's well-established that rapping and singing can smooth out speech patterns. Importantly, there's no evidence yet that it permanently reduces stuttering in everyday conversation.
Sanne Hans emphasizes how the app injects fun into stuttering therapy, reassures kids they're not alone, and fosters self-confidence. For more details, visit the official website.
