A healthy diet fuels better recovery from intense training. Sure, we all enjoy treats now and then—a baked potato, glass of wine, candy, or snacks. Who doesn't?

Indulgences are fine occasionally, but not too often. My body fat stays around 22%, ideal for a woman my age. Dropping lower leaves me feeling off. I'm more toned in winter than summer, when my legs noticeably thicken. But come race season, they're race-ready again."
