Dislocated shoulder

Can physiotherapy help if you regularly dislocate your shoulder?

Physiotherapist Jan Jorn van het Land: 'Your shoulder can be trained well. If your shoulder often dislocates, it is advisable to always train together with a physiotherapist. You then strengthen the muscles around your shoulder joint (the so-called rotator cuff). You should also pay a lot of attention to stability and coordination training of the shoulder. You can achieve a lot with training, but you have to keep in mind that that shoulder will always remain a weak and sensitive spot.'
