The World Cancer Research Fund tracked 380,000 people across nine European countries for 12 years. Their analysis shows that a healthy lifestyle lowers the risk of death by 34%.

Ten evidence-based recommendations were created to cut cancer risk. Comparing those who adhered most closely to those who followed least, the top adherents had a 34% lower risk of dying from various diseases.

Risk Reductions
Adherents showed a 20% lower cancer mortality risk, 44% lower risk from cardiovascular disease and stroke, and 50% lower risk from respiratory diseases.

Power of Healthy Eating
Consuming vegetables, fruits, and fiber-rich foods reduced mortality risk from various diseases by 21%.
