Breakfast is widely regarded as the most important meal of the day. Yet, new research reveals that one in three Dutch people regularly skips it.
A study by Research Agency Winkle found that 34% of Dutch adults aged 18-45 regularly skip breakfast. Nutrition expert Leontine van Meggelen, a registered dietitian and sports nutritionist at Invorm practice, calls this a harmful habit. "Skipping breakfast leads to an unhealthier lifestyle," she explains. "You miss out on essential daily nutrients. A proper breakfast keeps you energized and mentally sharp all morning." Van Meggelen urges everyone to prioritize a nutritious breakfast daily.
