Walnuts: A natural solution for everyday stress.
While previous studies have established that walnuts lower cholesterol, new findings reveal even greater benefits. Researchers at Penn State University found that consuming a handful of walnuts daily also combats stress and helps manage high blood pressure.
The Power of Walnuts
In a controlled study, participants were divided into three groups, each following a distinct diet. The first group ate a walnut-free diet, the second incorporated walnuts and walnut oil, and the third included walnuts with linseed oil. Results showed that those on the walnut-rich diets responded significantly better to stress, with notably lower blood pressure compared to the control group.
Interestingly, linseed oil had no impact on blood pressure but did help reduce inflammation in the blood vessels.
