Is it better for patients with high blood pressure to take aspirin before bedtime or upon waking? The Dutch Heart Foundation has announced funding for a study to address this key question.
Many people take low-dose aspirin to prevent blood clot formation. Emerging evidence also indicates it may help lower blood pressure. Researchers seek to identify the optimal daily timing for maximum benefit.
Leiden University will lead this three-year investigation, backed by nearly €7 million from the Netherlands Heart Foundation.
