Probiotics, what are they? What are they for ?


Probiotics are a type of beneficial bacteria (as well as other microorganisms) found naturally in the gut microbiota. These microorganisms play a central role in health and disease and are even involved in immune function and digestion. When not consuming enough probiotics, some of the side effects can include digestive issues, skin problems, and candidiasis. This is why a diet rich in probiotics, and the use of supplements when necessary, is important.

Historically, people consumed a lot of probiotics by eating fresh foods from good soil and fermenting the foods to keep them from going bad. Today, however, unsafe farming practices and declining diet quality have led to a significant decrease in our food supply of probiotics. The majority of probiotic supplements therefore have these bacteria. Eat a diet rich in probiotics
