5 relaxation tips after a hard day's work

There are several ways to relax of course. You can relax physically or mentally. I myself notice that when I relax physically, I also immediately relax mentally. That's handy, two birds with one stone. But I don't always feel like physical relaxation. And it is not always necessary. If I don't necessarily need to relax physically, then Telfort internet and TV and an evening on the couch are often fine. Don't think about a series such as the Luizenmoeder series or something like that, great!

In some cases, I have a specific need for physical relaxation, simply because I need to get the stress off my shoulders, and in other cases, a wonderful mental relaxation is enough. Don't even think about my to-do list - which looks like a kind of never-ending story. Anyway, take advantage of my relaxation tips and relax!

1. Hiking

An hour's walk in the woods. And I really mean at least an hour. And forest or beach is preferable. Not a block away in the center, too many incentives. Just nothing or no one around you and enjoy a quiet walk. Of course I would like to take my dog with me, but if you don't have one… no worries. Even without a dog, walking is great for relaxing.

2. Bullet journals

For me this is also a great way to relax. Perhaps one of the special relaxation tips since not everyone knows it. But as far as I'm concerned, that's worth getting to know. Were you also so busy with your agenda at school? Sticking stickers in it, making beautiful letters or writing and drawing pieces? Then a bullet journal is really something for you. Clear your head and get creative.

3. The jacuzzi (or your bath, also nice)

I know, I am privileged. Since January this year we have a jacuzzi in the back of the garden. And I can tell you… this is the ultimate form of relaxation. After a hard day's work, I love to slip into the warm water in the evening. Don't have a jacuzzi? Then this is of course also excellent in the bath. Add candles and a nice drink and relax. You can also add a nice scent in the bath if you want.

4. Sports

I am not an athlete at heart. What I have experienced, however, is that exercise provides total relaxation. After the effort that is. Have you been sporting fanatically for an hour after a hard day's work? Then you can relax on the couch afterwards for a well-deserved series. Or with a good book. The next day you can get back to work fresh and fruity. Not an ounce of tension in sight.

5. A wonderful massage

Well, an afterthought, the massage. Perhaps the top of the relaxation tips. But in addition to this tip, I would also like to give you a tip about how to get a massage. Some people get a massage from a professional. Good idea. But don't you want to spend the money on that? Or do you have a partner who never feels like this? Then read on.

Make a 'booklet' with massage vouchers. Of course you decide together how many massage vouchers you make in this booklet. Six for you and six for him. Or twelve for you and twelve for him. Whatever you want. Agree in advance that you can hand in a receipt no more than once a month. This way it stays fun. Your partner may not refuse the day you hand it in. An extensive massage is planned. Keep in mind that this also works the other way around of course 😉 . Is he coming with the receipt? Then it's your turn to spoil him.
