Tip 1: Prioritize good posture
Many of us sit all day without shifting positions or standing up occasionally. "That's the problem," says Marjos Schlüter, a physiotherapist at Physiotherapy Practice Hofmijster in Amsterdam. "Vary your posture frequently to distribute the load evenly on your back. Avoid standing, sitting, or leaning in one position for too long. Listen to your body—it signals when an activity is straining your back too much, and that's when you should stop."
