Once you start snacking, it's easy to devour an entire chocolate bar before you realize it. Yet, a recent study shows that small portions can leave you just as satisfied.
Large or Small Portions
Two groups ate different amounts of snacks: chocolate, apple pie, and chips. One group had large portions (100 grams of chocolate, 200 grams of apple pie, and 80 grams of chips, totaling 1,370 calories). The second group received small portions (10 grams of chocolate, 40 grams of apple pie, and 10 grams of chips, totaling 190 calories).
What Were the Results?
Both groups felt equally full afterward. The large-portion group consumed no less than 77% more calories. Try small snack portions next time to curb hunger without the excess calories.
