Meditate against colds

Meditate against colds

A stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing and feeling like your head is full. Very annoying. Meditation appears to be the best natural means of prevention against these ailments.

Exercise or meditate
Exercising regularly or taking a long walk will make you less likely to catch a cold. But meditation is even more effective, scientists at the University of Wisconsin-Madison found.

Sick leave
Three groups of people were monitored:one group did mindfulness meditation, the second group jogged and the third group did nothing. The people who meditated were sick less often. They missed 76 percent fewer days. The athletes missed 48 percent fewer days.

Good for the respiratory system
Meditation can reduce the duration or severity of respiratory infections by 50 percent, in the athletes this was reduced by up to 40 percent (severe).

Still a cold?
Meditation does not guarantee that you will not catch a cold. If it does bother you, those who exercised or meditated, the cold did not last as long.
