A landmark study revealed participants reduced their biological age by 3 years in just 8 weeks through exercise, meditation, quality sleep, a balanced diet, relaxation, and targeted supplements.

This evidence-based protocol led to a 3-year reversal in biological age for all participants after 8 weeks, stunning even the researchers.
“We were surprised by the magnitude of the age reduction in such a short period of time,” said lead author Kara N. Fitzgerald, PhD, from the Institute for Functional Medicine, in the study published in Aging.
The trial involved 43 healthy men aged 50-72. Researchers measured epigenetic age via DNA methylation—a more reliable predictor of mortality than chronological age.
Building on prior research linking lifestyle to epigenetics, this study combined multiple interventions: a diet rich in lean meats, fish, and phytonutrient-packed supplements; breathing exercises; 30 minutes of moderate exercise daily; and at least 7 hours of sleep nightly.
Participants' epigenetic age dropped by an average of 3 years in 8 weeks.
While limited to middle-aged men, the findings affirm that healthy habits extend healthspan.
Limitations include the small sample and short duration, but the results are compelling.
Adopt similar practices: Follow a Mediterranean-style diet, exercise like yoga or brisk walking, meditate, prioritize sleep, and consider phytonutrient supplements. This holistic approach may be the most effective path to vitality and longevity.
