Those festival wristbands hold cherished memories, so it's tempting to leave them on. But an Australian radio station's investigation tested just how many bacteria they harbor.
Findings confirm: festival wristbands can get seriously dirty. Prior studies showed that after two years, they carry twenty times more bacteria than everyday clothing. Even shortly after a festival, bacteria start to accumulate. While not all bacteria are harmful, keeping one on for six years isn't exactly hygienic. See the revealing video below.
