4. Boil 100ml of water.

5. Off the heat, infuse the herbs.

6. Leave the mixture to cool in the open air.

7. Once cold, pour the infusion through the coffee filter into the jam jar.

8. Transfer it using the funnel into a pretty glass bottle.

Result

Your acne-fighting toner is ready! :-) It's quick, easy, and packed with natural plant power—no harsh chemicals.

Note: Store the strained tonic in the jam jar, but transfer to a glass bottle for easy use, like a cleaned balsamic vinegar bottle.

This tonic lasts up to 3 days, so make small batches.

How to Use Your Toner

After cleansing (with soap or makeup remover), apply the toner to purify your skin, remove residue, tighten pores, and refresh.

Gently swipe a cotton pad soaked in toner over your face and neck, avoiding the eye area.

Always follow with moisturizer to prevent excess oil production—oily skin leads to more blackheads and pimples.

I relied on this astringent toner during my own challenging puberty years. It's inexpensive, eco-friendly, and delivers visible results in under a week, thanks to the synergistic action of three potent herbs. Your skin will feel healthier, softer, with fading blemishes and blackheads.

Why It Works

Parsley offers astringent, decongestant, healing, and lightening benefits, ideal for blemished skin.

Thyme is a powerful antiseptic that tightens pores and prevents blackheads.

Lemon balm heals and soothes irritations, perfect for normal to oily skin.

Bonus Tip

No lemon balm? Substitute with a pinch of oregano, an excellent antiseptic and skin softener.

Additional Tips

For optimal skin health, follow this routine: soap + toner + moisturizer. Aleppo soap is great for daily gentle cleansing.

For exfoliation, use an anti-acne scrub recipe 1-2 times weekly.
