I've fallen in love with the radiant California Blonde shade, but my dark roots grow faster than I'd like, creating an unflattering contrast. My reliable fix? A zig-zag parting that blends everything seamlessly.
With my naturally dark hair growing quicker than average, roots become noticeable fast. That's where this simple technique comes in.
Start with a Pointed-Handle Comb
The process is straightforward and needs just a comb with a pointed handle (or improvise with a tapered wooden skewer).
From the top of your forehead, create the parting with quick, alternating left-to-right zig-zag motions until you reach the desired depth. This weaves your natural roots with the colored strands for a harmonious look.
Extend it to the nape for pigtails or braids if you like. Finish with a light mist of hairspray, and you're set.
Try it yourself and let me know how it works for you!
