The Simple And Cheap Homemade SHOWER GEL Recipe.

There you go, your homemade liquid shower gel is already ready :-)

Easy, fast and economical, right?

This is a very economical recipe.

And your liquid body soap is 100% natural without any toxic products for the skin.

It has a nice creamy texture and it lathers just right, not too much, making little bubbles. As a result, it rinses very well.

What I love about this homemade shower gel is that it's really easy and quick to make. There is no need to gel the formula. Just mix all the ingredients well.

The little extra of this soap-free recipe is that the surfactant used (sodium cicoyl isethionalte) is really very gentle on the skin. Perfect for dry and sensitive skin!

The skin no longer feels tight after showering. And it's still much nicer that way. Your liquid soap gently takes care of your skin.

And since it is glycerin-free, there is no risk of allergies for those affected.

Why does it work?

- Water is the base for the texture of this homemade shower gel. This is the support.

- Sodium cicoyl isethionalte acts as a surfactant, that is to say a gentle cleanser for the skin. It is a white powder made from coconut oil. This ingredient is at the heart of the recipe for this liquid body soap:it is a foaming and cleansing base.

- Rich in fatty acids, jojoba oil is an anti-aging oil. It intensely nourishes the skin and makes it very soft. It has moisturizing and protective properties for the skin.

- Cosgard is an alcohol-based preservative:practical for keeping your homemade shower gel.

- The chosen fragrance perfumes your shower gel and makes cleansing a moment of pleasant relaxation.

So you have all the ingredients to make a moisturizing, soft, natural shower gel that respects your skin and that of children.

Additional advice

- You can simplify the formula even further by not adding perfume or color (mica or ochre).

- Do not breathe sodium cocoyl isethionate powder too closely. Chances are you'll start sneezing.

- If the oil tends to separate from the rest when you take the shower gel out of the fridge, don't panic. The liquid will gel after 24 hours. It will then be necessary to mix it well to make it homogeneous.

- The only downside to this shower gel is that it tends to phase out. Its texture changes over time and gels. It must therefore be shaken regularly so that it regains a normal texture for a shower gel.

- And if you are embarking on a zero waste approach, consider recycling a pump bottle that you already have.

- For information, the pH of this shower gel is 6.5. But it can change depending on your water.

- As a fragrance, I chose the "blackberry" scent, but of course everyone chooses the one they like. You can also replace the fragrance with 10 drops of essential oil of your choice.
